Welcome to Pneumonia Detection Model.

How the Model Works?

We have created a model that detects whether a patient is infected with pneumonia by analyzing the Chest X-ray of the patient uploaded by the user. The model utilizes various deep learning models, including Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and MobileNet V2, for pneumonia detection. The code is written in Python using the TensorFlow and Keras libraries.

Timeline

1875

The bacteria seen for the first time

In 1875, German pathologist Edwin Klebs observed pneumonia bacteria under a microscope for the first time, and this was a huge step forward in the fight against the pulmonary disease. Then, in the 1880’s, Carl Friedlander and Albert Frankel identified two of the most common bacterial causes of pneumonia.

1930s

Treatments discovered

By the 1930s, a plethora of ways to handle pneumonia had been developed. Infection rates were still relatively high during this period, but mortality from pneumonia dropped around the world. The development of the antibiotic penicillin played a key role in this decline.

2010

Pneumonia is Expensive

In 2010, $17 Billion was spent on pneumonia itself globally. Pfizer, the manfacturer of PVC7, replaces it with an extended version, PCV13

2012

More variants

92 serotypes of streptococcus pneumoniae are documented by the time. Pneumonia reveals to be the most common reason for admission to the hospital after an emergency department visit in the United States for infants and children. In 2013 United States FDA approves use of Prevnar 13 vaccine in older children and teens (6-17 years).[

Precautions

Wash hands on regular intervals

Handwashing with soap removes germs from hands. This helps prevent infections because: People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it.

Quit Smoking

When you quit smoking, your immune system is no longer exposed to tar and nicotine. It will become stronger, and you will be less likely to get sick.

Get your protection

It protects you and your child from many serious and potentially deadly diseases. It helps to make community healthy and ready to fight diseases

Get regular checkups

It's no secret that the longer a disease or sickness has to develop, the worse it gets. Regular check-ups with a family physician can help diagnose a disease before it spreads and turns into a serious condition.

Eat healthy

A healthy diet typically includes foods from all of the major food groups, including fruits and vegetables of many colors. It includes eating nutritious foods.

Keep your immune system strong

Our immune system, a network of intricate stages and pathways in the body, protects us against these harmful microbes as well as certain diseases.
